Intro to inversions

A 2 hr workshop exploring inversions

  • 20 British pounds
  • Rothbury Road

Service Description

Before you say, 'no way this ones not for me', in Yoga terms an inversion is where the heart is higher from the ground than the head. So this means downward facing dog is an inversion, as is a forward bend, both of which we practice in most regular classes. That said, yes we will explore poses like headstand, shoulder stand, forearm stand and possibly handstand, however it will depend on individual ability and strength. A lot of the class will revolve about what preparation we need to begin to achieve these poses. There will be lots of shoulder strength and flexibility work, a good amount of core work and some leg strength and flexibility drills, so all in all a well rounded class with a little play at going upside down toward the end. The workshop, as always will be fun and playful so why not step out of your comfort zone and joy us 😊
